Hospital Switches from Carts to C5s: Anacortes, Wash.-based Island Hospital is no longer using computers mounted on mobile carts. Now the nurses are using the C5 devices to access a hospital information system, from Medical Information Technology Inc., Westwood, Mass. They also are using the bar-code scanner on the C5s to scan patient wristbands and medications to improve safety during medication administration.
